Sources, status labels and corrections
SIC Intelligence separates legal designation records from relationship context. A shared address, company, asset or transport observation does not make a person or entity sanctioned.
Evidence classes
Official sanctions-list record
Used only when a record is attributed to an identified government or intergovernmental sanctions list. The issuing authority, identifiers, program and live status should be checked before reliance.
Official public record
A company, procurement, aviation, enforcement or other record published by a public authority. It does not become a sanctions designation unless the sanctions authority itself lists the subject.
Authoritative or external public source
Structured registries, investigative publications and observational feeds may provide useful context. They are identified by source and are not represented as government sanctions decisions.
Unverified candidate
A possible identity or relationship match generated by deterministic or assisted matching. It is displayed as a candidate and must not be treated as an established fact.
Interpretation rules
- “Official sanctions-list record” describes the source record; it is not independent legal advice.
- “Linked” means a sourced relationship, not a designation, allegation or finding of wrongdoing.
- PEP status is a due-diligence category and is not a sanctions designation or adverse finding.
- INTERPOL Red Notices are not mirrored or commercially republished. Current public status must be checked directly on INTERPOL’s official website, and a Red Notice is not an international arrest warrant.
- Registered owner, beneficial owner, operator and passenger are distinct roles and are not inferred from one another.
- “Not found” means not found in the named sources at the stated time; it does not prove that no restriction exists.
- Current legal effect depends on identity, jurisdiction, program, dates, ownership and control rules, exceptions and licences.
INTERPOL notices are verified live, not republished
SIC Intelligence does not mirror or commercially republish INTERPOL notices. A Red Notice is a request for international police cooperation, not an international arrest warrant. Current public status must be verified directly with the issuing source.
Verify on INTERPOLCorrections and source challenges
To challenge a record, provide its URL or ID, identify the disputed field and include a primary source supporting the requested correction. Candidate matches may be hidden while reviewed. Accurate historical records may be retained with an updated status rather than deleted.
